Details

Premix for cattle which improves the taste of roughage, stimulates the functioning of the digestive organs and supports the condition. This product will support cattle to boost their immune system and digestion when needed for shorter-term periods.

When to use the product?

Digestion is the process of breaking down food in the mouth, stomach, intestines and other organs so that it can be used to give energy to the body. Ruminant livestock have a unique digestive system that allows them to use energy from fibrous plant material better than other herbivores. When your cattle experience a time of reduced resistance, they might need extra vitamins and minerals in the form of a premix.

How does the product work?

To produce high milk yield cows need receipts with the high level of energy and protein. Therefore, it is the need in increased level of the concentrated fodder in the receipt structure with the increased contents of energy and proteine. However, it is known, that increase of concentrates level in a diet leads to increase of acidity of the stomach medium in ruminants. Thus the rumen microflora is being suppressed and it leads to reduction of feed digestibility and reproduction function.

This problem can be partially resolved by using of buffer substances which help to reduce pH to normal ratio.

Our products are safe and environmental friendly, with no harm to animals. We believe in treating animals well, even when they have economical output. With that starting point, we develop products that will optimize economic output.

Why is this product advantageous?

Dextrose is the ideal multi-facet premix carrier. The nutritional value of Dextrose is well established and proven. Ketosis is a metabolic disorder that occurs in cattle when energy demands, for example when high milk production is needed, exceed energy intake and result in a negative energy balance. Ketotic cattle often have low blood glucose concentrations.

When large amounts of body fat are utilised as an energy source to support production, fat is sometimes mobilised faster than the liver can properly metabolise it. If this situation occurs, ketone production exceeds ketone utilisation by the cow, and ketosis results. In the beef cow, this is most likely to occur in late pregnancy when the cow's appetite is at its lowest and the energy requirement of the growing calf near its peak.

The initial aim of treatment is to restore the lack of glucose in the body. A quick glucose (dextrose) supplement is required immediately to give the cows a boost.
